Why Marine Galley Furniture Differs from Shore Installations

Standard catering furniture designed for shoreside restaurants is not adequate for yacht installation. The constant vibration of engines and sea motion subjects welded joints to fatigue stresses not present in static installations. Salt-laden air attacks inferior stainless grades and carbon-steel fixings. Space constraints demand that storage is utilised in three dimensions to a far greater degree than in a conventional kitchen.

Material and Finish Standards

All galley furniture we supply is fabricated in AISI 304 stainless steel as a minimum, with 316 grade specified for items adjacent to exterior openings. We offer both satin (brushed No. 4) and mirror finishes to match the vessel's interior design brief.
