Superyacht chef presenting a finished dish in a professional marine galley — The Superyacht Galley

Specialist depth, not generalist breadth

Most interior contractors who handle galley fit-outs are generalists — they specify galleys as one element of a broader interior project. We do only galleys. This means deeper knowledge of marine-rated equipment, more current relationships with manufacturers, more accurate specification and faster resolution when problems arise.

Manufacturer independence

We are not affiliated with or incentivised by any equipment manufacturer. Our specification recommendations reflect the right equipment for the project — not the brand that pays us commission or the line we happen to stock. When we recommend Rational over Unox, it is because Rational is the right specification for that vessel. When we recommend Unox, same reason.

Global supply chain

We have established relationships with manufacturers and distributors across Europe, the United States, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific. This means access to stock that is not available through single-territory distributors, competitive pricing from multiple supply points, and the ability to source and deliver to virtually any location a superyacht visits.

20+ years of project experience

Abraham Stones has been working in superyacht galley specification since before most of the equipment brands currently specified on superyachts were established in the marine sector. This depth of experience means pattern recognition — knowing which problems are common, which specifications fail in practice, and which manufacturers can actually support their equipment in remote locations.

Responsive when it matters

Charter yacht galley emergencies happen at the worst possible moments. A dishwasher failure on the first morning of a high-season charter, a combi oven that will not commission the day before guests arrive. We respond to urgent enquiries outside standard business hours and have supply chain contacts that allow same-day sourcing of critical items in major superyacht hubs.

End-to-end capability

From galley design and equipment specification through procurement, logistics, customs, installation support and crew handover — we handle the complete process. You work with one specialist throughout, not a chain of contractors who each see only their part of the project.

Why The Superyacht Galley Is the Right Choice

The superyacht galley market has no shortage of interior contractors, equipment dealers and procurement agents. The question is not whether you can find someone to supply galley equipment — it is whether the person you choose has the depth of knowledge, the independence and the practical experience to get it right. A poorly specified combi oven, a refrigeration system that cannot hold temperature in the tropics, a dishwasher with no local service support — these failures have real consequences aboard a working superyacht. The cost of getting specification wrong is always higher than the cost of getting it right.

We exist specifically to solve this problem. Not as a generalist contractor who also does galleys. Not as a distributor who specifies what they happen to sell. As an independent specialist whose only business is delivering excellent superyacht galleys.

What Makes Us Different

Independence from manufacturers means our recommendations are unconstrained by commercial relationships. Depth of experience — more than 20 years focused exclusively on marine galleys — means we have encountered and solved the problems that are invisible until they occur on your vessel. Global supply chain relationships mean we can source what is actually right for your project, not what happens to be in a local warehouse. And direct access to Abraham Stones throughout the project means the knowledge that attracted you to us is the knowledge that is applied to your work.

Frequently Asked Questions — Why Choose Us

Why use a specialist galley consultant rather than an interior contractor?+
Interior contractors manage multiple workstreams simultaneously and rarely have deep knowledge of marine galley equipment. A specialist brings focused expertise — knowing which brands perform reliably at sea, which specifications are appropriate for which vessel types and programmes, and which problems to anticipate before they occur. The galley is one of the highest-use spaces on any superyacht. It deserves specialist attention.
What does manufacturer independence mean in practice?+
It means we have no commercial obligation to specify any particular brand. We work with all major manufacturers — Rational, Miele, Dometic, Electrolux Professional, MKN, Hobart, Unox, Winterhalter and others — and specify each based on the requirement. We do not receive commissions from manufacturers. We are not a distributor for any brand. Our specification recommendation is based purely on the right equipment for your project.
How does your global supply chain benefit my project?+
We source from manufacturer and distributor relationships across Europe, North America, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific. This means access to equipment not available through single-territory distributors, competitive pricing from multiple supply points, and the ability to source and deliver to virtually any location a superyacht visits — whether a Mediterranean refit yard, a Caribbean marina or a Pacific crossing stopover.
Who actually works on my project?+
Abraham Stones works directly on every project. Your enquiry goes to Abraham. Your specification is produced by Abraham. Your questions are answered by Abraham. There are no account managers or junior consultants between you and the specialist knowledge you are paying for. This direct access is something we are deliberate about maintaining, regardless of project volume.
Can you respond to urgent galley equipment requirements?+
Yes. Charter yacht galley emergencies — equipment failures mid-season, commissioning failures before guest arrival — happen outside business hours and cannot wait. We operate with responsiveness as a core principle, not a stated policy. Urgent requirements are handled as urgently as the situation demands, including out-of-hours contact and same-day sourcing from our supply network in major superyacht hubs.
Do you handle projects for private as well as charter yachts?+
Yes. We work across both private and charter programmes. The specification priorities differ — a private owner may prioritise equipment quality over total throughput capacity, while a high-frequency charter operation requires different durability considerations — and our approach is tailored accordingly. We also work on vessels that operate in both modes.
How do you ensure your specifications are SOLAS-compliant?+
Every equipment specification we produce is checked against the applicable SOLAS and flag state requirements for the vessel. We verify marine ratings, fire suppression compatibility, ventilation requirements and electrical specifications. Where flag state or class requirements create constraints, we identify compliant alternatives and document the rationale for the specification decision.
What happens if something goes wrong after delivery?+
We take responsibility for the projects we manage. If equipment arrives damaged, we resolve it with the manufacturer or insurer. If a specification error is ours, we correct it at our cost. We do not pass problems to the client to resolve with a manufacturer directly. This accountability is not just a policy — it is how we have maintained long-term relationships with the clients we work with repeatedly across multiple vessels and projects.
