Comprehensive Superyacht Galley Services

The Superyacht Galley offers a complete range of specialist services covering every stage of the galley lifecycle — from concept design and equipment specification on a new-build, through procurement and logistics management, to on-site installation support, commissioning and crew handover. We also provide standalone services for vessels with a specific, bounded requirement: a single equipment order, a refit specification for a particular zone, or a consultancy engagement to review an existing specification.

All services are delivered with the same attention to detail, the same independence from manufacturer incentives, and the same direct involvement from Abraham Stones throughout the engagement.

New-Build Galley Services

For new-build projects, we engage at the earliest practical stage — working alongside naval architects and interior designers to establish the galley footprint, services requirements and equipment philosophy. Early engagement prevents the costly downstream compromises that occur when galley requirements are resolved after the interior design is fixed. We produce the full equipment specification, coordinate with the shipyard's technical teams and manage procurement and delivery to yard.

Refit and Upgrade Services

For vessels in refit, we assess the existing galley against the vessel's current programme — comparing the installed equipment against current-generation alternatives and producing a prioritised upgrade recommendation. We manage the procurement and logistics for replacement equipment, coordinate with the refit yard to minimise installation time and disruption, and provide commissioning support on completion.

Frequently Asked Questions — Services

What is included in a full galley design service?+
A full galley design service includes initial brief review, galley layout planning (working with the interior designer or naval architect's drawings), equipment selection and specification, services schedule (electrical load schedule, water supply, drainage and ventilation requirements), equipment schedule and budget cost plan. For new-build projects, this is produced as a formal specification document suitable for submission to the shipyard and, where required, to the vessel's class or flag state.
Can you handle a single equipment order without a full project engagement?+
Yes. We handle single equipment orders — replacement combi ovens, refrigeration units, dishwashers, laundry equipment and any other galley item. We source competitively, manage logistics to the vessel's location and ensure the equipment is correct for the specific installation. There is no minimum project size.
Do you provide on-site installation and commissioning support?+
Yes, where it adds value. For larger new-build projects and full refit engagements, we attend the vessel during installation and commissioning. We work alongside the yard's engineers and the vessel's crew to ensure equipment is installed correctly, commissioned to manufacturer specification and handed over with full documentation and crew training. For smaller engagements, we provide remote commissioning support and coordinate manufacturer technical resource directly.
What does a turnkey galley fit-out service include?+
A turnkey galley fit-out service covers the complete journey from specification to commissioning — including galley design, equipment specification, procurement, logistics, customs management where required, installation coordination, commissioning and crew handover. The client and shipyard deal with one point of contact throughout. All equipment arrives at the correct time, in the correct sequence, to the correct location, with all documentation in order.
Do you offer stainless steel fabrication services?+
Yes. We design and supply custom stainless steel galley furniture — worktops, cabinets, sinks, equipment surrounds and integrated galley structures. We work with specialist marine stainless fabricators to produce furniture that meets marine standards for surface finish, welding quality, drainage and hygiene. Custom fabrication is typically produced as part of a larger galley fit-out engagement, but standalone fabrication commissions are also accepted.
Can you specify and supply laundry equipment?+
Yes. Laundry equipment is within our scope. We specify and supply commercial-grade marine laundry equipment from brands including Miele Professional, covering both washer-extractors and tumble dryers. We assess the vessel's laundry load requirements — crew linen, guest linen, charter rotation frequency — and specify equipment appropriate to the throughput requirement and available space and services.
Do you provide crew training after installation?+
Yes. Crew training is part of our formal handover process. We ensure the chief steward or stewardess and the chef understand how to operate and maintain all installed equipment correctly. We coordinate manufacturer training sessions where required for complex equipment such as Rational combi ovens. We also provide a handover pack containing warranty documents, service contacts, operational manuals and our own equipment notes where relevant.
How do your fees work?+
Our fee structure is transparent and discussed at the outset of each engagement. Consultancy and specification work is charged at a fixed project fee agreed before work commences. Procurement and logistics management is charged as a percentage of the equipment value procured. There are no hidden charges, no inflated list prices with undisclosed discounts and no commissions from manufacturers — all of which would compromise our independence. Full fee details are provided in our engagement documentation.
